Handmade opened in the beautiful Hudson Valley village of New Paltz in November of 1974 as "The Handmade Craft Store".  Over the years, Handmade grew by leaps and bounds and became Handmade and More in 1985.  In 1987 we added The Clothing Dept. at Handmade, and we recently opened Handmade at Home, featuring fine linens and furnishings for the home, located above our main shop.

Our customer service ethic is the same now as it was in 1974 ... friendly service, no pressure, smiles, and lots of help when you need it.  Our staff has done a masterful job of continuing to provide a unique selection of jewelry, women's clothing, children's clothing (newborn to toddler) and gifts.  Whether you're shopping on-line or in person, you can be sure that you'll receive the same personal attention that's been Handmade's trademark since 1974.
